Center for Health Workforce

The Mason Center for Health Workforce was established to address the critical shortage and maldistribution of health workers in Virginia. The Center serves as a catalyst and facilitator of community action for health workforce development across Virginia by leveraging Mason’s resources and expertise to support research and community planning for workforce development.

The Center supports the development and delivery of public/private strategies to optimize physical and behavioral health career education (career entry and progression) and post-graduate skill training. Additionally, the Center serves as a technical assistance center for health workforce research, program evaluation, and planning and analysis for government agencies, academic entities, and professional organizations.
